Abstract (EN)
In this study, honey samples were taken from 13 different localities around Bartın and in most of its provinces in 2008 and 2009,then, polen analyse were performed on these samples. The dominant pollen, the secondary polen, the minor pollen and the trace pollen distributions are determined from the analizes of the honey samples. Pollens in these honeys were found to belong to 31 different plant families, among which 17 taxa were identified at genera and 20 at species level. Castanea sativa and İlex colchica pollens were represented at dominant levels in the honey samples. Castanea sativa, Ligustrum vulgare, Prunus, Pyrus, Astragalus and Leguminosae pollens were represented at secondary levels in the honey samples. All of the honey samples contained pollens of Castanea sativa.Although the bees collected nectar from several different species of plants, it seemed that they prefer some species more than others. These preperred plants make up at the important plantscontaining a lot of nectar. The pollens which are taken from these plants are effecting the quality of honey, the pollens, which have secondary even minor percentage in the honey, may effect the quality of honey depending on plants from which they are extracted.Key Words : Melissopalynolgy, honey, pollen analysis of honey, pollen.
