Abstract (EN)

Melatonin hormone (100 uM) photosynthetic activity, osmotic potential, stomatal conductance, electrolyte, membrane temperature, chlorophyll temperature, H2O2 and TBARS amount of two varieties (Ruby Queen and Rodeo) of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.) treated with 3 different salt study scopes (50, 150, 250 mM NaCl) were obtained in the current. Sugar beets treated with melatonin and not treated with any application were used as controls. In the experimental groups with salt application, a comparative decrease in photosynthetic activity, osmotic potential, stomatal conductance, membrane stability and chlorophyll flora was observed compared to controls, while an increase in electrolyte leakage, H2O2 and TBARS amounts was detected. However, in the comparison of 3 different salt temperature salinity stress experimental program, melatonin distribution experimental section, it was determined that there was an increase in photosynthetic activity, osmotic potential, stomatal conductance, membrane stability and chlorophyll flora values, and a decrease in electrolyte leakage, H2O2 and TBARS amounts. As a result, this research shows that the Mel intervention applied to sugar beet grown under salt stress conditions has a healing effect on the plant and thus the usability of this hormone against increasing salinity in management areas.
