Abstract (EN)

Wastewater Treatment Plant is a system which is set up in order to eliminate or minimize dangerous and harmful effects of domestic and industrial wastewaters as characteristic properties of receiving environment cannot be changed. These plants are designed according to such properties of domestic or industrial wastewater, geological body, topographical conditions, and development of cities. Productivity of wastewater treatment plants are being influenced negatively today and in the future, unless related factors are detected feasibility is not taken great to complete. The higher investment of advanced technology is transferred to such plants the highest the best productivity can be taken with the most expensive bodies are abolished the economical properties of related plants. The most of wastewater treatment plants in our country have been working with extremely high productivity or not to supply the productivity which is wanted. In this study, Bursa West and East Wastewater, Hamitler Leachate Treatment, Ankara Wastewater, Cumhuriyet University Wastewater Treatment Plant and Kayseri Biological wastewater treatmentplants have been investigated on site, detected the problems during operation and finally solutions against to such problems have been applied and offered the solutions which can be implemented.
