Abstract (EN)

Acemetacin acts as a cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibitor, producing anti-inflammatory and analgetic (pain-relieving) effects. It is partially metabolized in the body to indomethacin, which also acts as a COX inhibitor. The same mechanism is responsible for typical NSAID side effects as well as antipyretic and antiplatelet effects that are not used clinically. An advantage of acemetacin is probably that acemetacin has less effect on the increase of leukotriene B4 synthesis and tumor necrosis factor (TNF) expression and causes less induction of leukocyte-endothelial adhesion. It reduces stomach damage compared to indomethacin because it causes. The aim of this study is to conduct a new method validation and optimization study for Acemetacin with HPLC-DAD-UV. Method validation for acemetacin was confirmed by linearity, precision, accuracy, robustness and selectivity studies. Optimization and validation studies have been conducted for acemetacin.
