Abstract (EN)

In the course of history, the literature of Minstrel emerged as a new style with the conservatism and localization of the ozan-baksi tradition, the foundation of Turkish oral literature, with the acceptance of Islam by the Turks. The literature, which has taken its source from the word, has spread to different cultures and geographies for centuries and has become an important part of the literature. This literature, which manifested itself in the 15 century, has been preserved and moved to the present day by the lovers of the representatives. The aim of this study, consisting of the life, art and works of Mevlüt Mertoğlu, is to reveal the place and importance of Mevlüt Mertoğlu, a prominent representative of the Erzurum minstrel tradition, who grew up around the Erzurum minstrel tradition. In this study, which is a qualitative study, works written on folk literature and Minstrel literature were studied by scanning the literature. In the process of collecting and analyzing the data, the data obtained by observing on-site were compiled, bilateral interviews were made with Folk poet, the data needed were collected and the data were analyzed according to qualitative research method. Mevlüt Mertoğlu's two hundred and twelve poems are examined beneath love, missing, homesickness, remonstrance, from fate-luck, fortune, religion, islamic mysticism, family, social and critical issues, national feelings title; have been determined linguistic, stylistic and formal features of poems.
