Abstract (EN)
In this study, safflower seed was chosen as raw material. In the first part of this study, the effect of various pyrolysis parameters (pyrolysis temperature, heating rate, entraining gas flow rate) on the fast pyrolysis of safflower seed was investigated. Maximum liquid product yield was obtained at pyrolysis temperature of 550 oC, heating rate of 300 oC/min, nitrogen flow rate of 200 cm3/min and particle size range of 1.25>Dp>0.85 mm. The maximum liquid product yield obtained under these conditions was found to be 38,24%, In the second part of the study, catalytic pyrolysis of Safflower seed was carried out to increase the quality of the liquid product obtained. The effect of catalyst type and temperature on product yields and compositions was investigated, By using various spectroscopic and chromatographic methods, the obtained pyrolysis liquid products were characterized.
