Abstract (EN)
This dissertation introduces a novel approach in differential colorimetric pH measurement by integrating microfluidic technology within an automated platform. This innovation signifies a considerable advancement for continuous liquid analysis of industrial applications. A novel sample injection method with precision syringe pump, is proposed to guarantee consistent flow rates and precise mixing ratios that is critical for the system's overall functionality. A crucial part of this research involves the design, construction, and evaluation of a passive micromixer. This phase of the study is enhanced by the confirmation of 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. Following this, the development and arrangement of a specialized optical sensing system enables the customization of the automated microfluidic system for specific use in pH analysis. To analyze, improve, and validate the dynamic performance of the overall system, the research employs an electrical circuit analogy. This analogy is thoroughly explored through both SPICE simulations and experimental trials. The outcomes of these investigations confirm the system's ability to maintain fluctuation-free flow, leading to accurate and reliable pH measurements.
