Determination of shore edge line Kızılırmak between Avanos(Nevşehir) - Kesikköprü Dam (Ankara) and problems arising from the shore edge line

This study, determine the current shoreline of the Kızılırmak valley between Avanos (Nevşehir)-Kesikköprü Dam (Ankara) and carried out the aim of contributing to the solution of the problems related to the shore edge line with GIS, remote sensing and terrain observations. Today, there are many problems with respect to the river shore edge line, such as various land disputes, land use problems, or the use of coastal areas as settlements. Especially between Avanos-Gülşehir-Kesikköprü, land use and ownership in the past history and ongoing problems have come to the fore. The main reason for this is that the shore edge line in this area has not been determined. Kızılırmak, from the Hirfanlı dam to the Kesikköprü dam, the stream shows a flow characteristic in a narrow throat, and while the shore edge line is on top of the shoreline, which flows in wide bed in other parts of the field; where the floor of the bed is not disturbed by the human hand, the flood bed which is 1 to 2 meters above the small bed, depending on the severity and duration of the impact, on the impact slopes due to meandering flow ˷1 m, in the areas where sand-gravel is taken, crosses over with the shoreline. The 1/25000 scale topography maps produced in 1982 and the shore edge line map on old satellite images, satellite images date of current date and shore edge line created by site GPS measurements compared, Tuzköy hydroelectric power plant has been found to play an important role in the change of coastal line and important changes in the river bed.
