Reflections of the European Union counter terrorism policy on the membership process

Abstract (EN)

After the terrorist attacks in the EU, the effects of the policy of anti-terrorism that created in line with European values, on candidate countries constitute the general framework of The Study. Terrorist attacks happened in the United States on September 11, 2001 constituted a milestone in the formation of EU Counter-Terrorism Policy. In this work, it is determined how EU Anti-Terrorism Policy are coherent and how they are reflected in the harmonisation efforts of each candidate country involved in the European Union membership process after 2004. At the same time in the light of the findings; about the fight against terrorism, causes of the disagreements between EU and Turkey which for decades made significant efforts to be full member of the European Union and has been an accessing country since 2005, are tried to be explained.
