Abstract (EN)
Aydinids Principality was one of the principalitiest hat had the opportunity to move freely withother Turkmen lords in Anatolia until the collapse of the Anatolian Seljuk State in 1308 and the death of Ilhanids ruler Bahadır Han in 1335. The Turkmens, who settled on the fringes with the Mongol invasion in the XIIIth century, started conquest movements in Anatolia from place to place. The principality, which is in a strategic position in its relations with both the Aegean Sea and the Eastern Roman Empire, was founded by Aydinids' Mehmet Bey in Aydın and its surroundings. Considering the strategic location of the Aydinids Principality, the connection between Western Anatolia and the Aegean Sea, the principality, which has port cities such as İzmir, Ephesus and Çeşme, has come to a very experienced point in maritime and maritime trade, and has traded with Italian city-states. Aydınids Principality left many historical, architectural, artistic, cultural and social products in the Western Anatolian lands, where it ruled, from the establishment period until it came under the auspices of the Ottoman Empire. In our study, there searches made on Aydinids Principality or directly mentioned about this principality were evaluated and given in a bibliographical way. Based on the Works examined within the scope of the study, it has been determined that many and different studies have been carried out in many different fields of science in order to reveal the history of Aydın and its surroundings.
