Abstract (EN)
Ayla Kutlu, marked her place in Turkish literatüre with her works in post-80's, drew particular attention with her works in children's literature. Therefore, the research focuses on her children's literature works. It has been confirmed that Kutlu reflects the restriction of the male and female identites which plays a part on the patriarchal identification from a female perspective. Children's novel such as "Merhaba Sevgi", "Yıldız Yavrusu", "Başı Kuşlu Çocuk"; three story books from the "Harika İkizler" series and contemporary fairy tales such as "Minik Sultan" series, "Çiçek Elli Robot", "Kendini Köpek Sanan Ayakkabılar", "Beceriksizler Sirki", "Pembe Saçlar Mavi Gözler", "Gezgin Kertenkele ile Kutup Ayısı", "Küçük Mavi Tren" were included in the research. In the introduction part, information about the general conception on children's literature and social sex roles will be given in order to provide a better understanding to the study and to form a scientific basis to our study. The study consist of two major parts. The first part will be on Ayla Kutlu's life, work and literary lifechronology. On the second part of the study, the main subject of the study, the Social Sex Roles in Ayla Kutlu's Children's Literature Works, will be analyzed. While the female identities will be evaluated as "mother", "sister" and "daughter" in her novels, stories and fairy tales, the male identities will be evaluated as "father", "brother" and "son".
