Names of climate and weather events in Azerbaijan Turkish proverbs and idioms

In this study, it is aimed to analyze the proverbs and idioms made with the names of climate and weather events in Azerbaijan Turkish. Climate and weather events have an important place in people's daily life. For this reason, various words and phrases are frequently used in the language, especially proverbs and idioms. This thesis aims to analyze the semantic and cultural contexts of these expressions. In the first part of the thesis, general information about Azerbaijani Turkish, proverb, idiom, idiomology and the difference between proverb and idiom will be given. In the second part, proverbs and idioms made with the names of climate and weather events will be classified and analyzed according to their names. In the third part, the proverbs and idioms made with the names of climate and weather events in Azerbaijan Turkish will be compared with the proverbs and idioms with the same meaning in Turkey Turkish. In the conclusion section, the results obtained about the proverbs and idioms made with the names of climate and weather events in Azerbaijan Turkish will be included. In this thesis, it is aimed to contribute to the studies of proverbs and idioms in Azerbaijan Turkish.
