Master's thesis a thematic analysis of music textbooks instructed in primary schools in Turkey and Azerbaijan

In this study, it is aimed to thematically analyze the music textbooks used to teach in primary schools in Turkey and Azerbaijan. As a result of the conducted literature review, it was found out that there no such studies. It is thought that, therefore, the study is unique and will contribute to the literature. The study was conducted according to qualitative research model, and the data was collected through document analysis. The analysis of the data was done according to content analysis techniques. As a result of the obtained data, it was determined that there are different themes in the textbooks of both countries although there are a lot of similar themes. It was also determined that the music textbooks of Azerbaijan are denser than those of Turkey in terms of content and acquisitions.
