Abstract (EN)

In this study, 28 taxa belonging to the genus Centaurea, Psephellus and Cyanus, naturally growing in Elazig Region (B7), were investigated in terms of their morphological and palinological properties. The external morphological properties of 28 taxa are determined on the basis of measurements on fresh plant samples and on floristic-systematic publication. Leaves, capitulum, involucre, phyllary, flower, achen and pappus for per species are measured, and their morphological characters are determined in detail. Moreover, the pollen morphology of the species belonging to the genus Centaurea, Psephellus and Cyanus are investigated using light microscopy in detail.C. antitauri is an endemic species known from C5 Adana-Hatay. Centaurea carduiformis subsp. carduiformis var. thrincifolia ve Centaurea carduiformis subsp. carduiformis var. carduiformis are the species known from different squares except for B7 Elazig. As a result of the MSc study new species records for B7 Elazig square are determined. These species, which are new records for B7 Elazig, are Centaurea antitauri, Centaurea carduiformis subsp. carduiformis var. thrincifolia and Centaurea carduiformis subsp. carduiformis var. carduiformis. All the properties are shown in Table 1, 2, 3.
