Abstract (EN)
In the study, it was aimed to evaluate the sensitivity of fathers about infant care in terms of various variables and to develop the "RIE Approach-Based Infant Care Sensitivity Scale" developed by the researcher. For this reason, the "Demographic Information Form" developed by the researcher and the "Baby Care Sensitivity Scale Based on the RIE Approach" were applied to 777 fathers with babies aged 0-24 months. Data from 450 fathers were used for scale development and data from 327 fathers were used for the study. SPSS v 25.0 program was used in the analysis. In data analysis, Mann Whitney U tests were used in bivariate analyzes and Kruskal Wallis tests were used in analyzes with more than two independent variables. Variables that were found to be statistically significant according to the results of the study: fathers' previous involvement in baby care, fathers' education about baby care, mother's education about baby care, father's reading of a book about the baby, watching videos about baby care and the number of children. The results of the study were compared with the studies in the literature.
