Abstract (EN)

In the living conditions of our age, population growth, unconscious and intense urbanization damage natural and cultural landscapes. For this reason, qualified resource values in protected areas and their surroundings deteriorate. Common approaches have been adopted in the international platform in order to prevent the degradation of landscapes, to ensure their protection and sustainable use. In this way, there are bases for the definition, classification, determination and management of landscapes within the scope of the European Landscape Convention (APS) opened for signature. The Landscape Character Analysis (LCA) approach, which is used to determine the character and follow the change in this process when the definition and classification of landscapes begins, is accepted worldwide. With the landscape planning approaches made, this study was carried out in order to protect the diminishing natural resources of the existing areas by considering the protection-use balance. In order to make correct and effective resource management and plan decisions, optimal area uses aiming to protect the ecological structure should be determined precisely. In this context, in Samsun / Bafra Kızılırmak River and its close vicinity, which is very rich in resources, land use planning was made suitable for ecology, land and local life and to determine their optimal use. Compliance analysis has been created and interpreted with Analytic Hierarchy Process and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
