Abstract (EN)

In this master's thesis, a research was carried out in the village of Tokat, in Bakışlı village, using geophysical methods, Multi-channel surface wave analysis (MASW), ground penetrating radar and vertical electric sounding (VES) method. The aim of the study is to investigate whether geophysical methods can contribute to the determination of the lateral and vertical distributions of blue chalcedony, which is known as a semi-precious stone. In this direction, some of the geophysical methods have been applied to the study area. Vertical electric drilling (VES) measurements were taken at 11 points. Schlumberger electrode array was used. For the multi-channel surface wave analysis (MASW) method, measurements were taken along 2 lines with 12 geophones. The ground penetrating radar method was measured by walking on a line of approximately 120 meters. As a result, the compatibility of these methods with each other and the benefits of geophysical methods in the search for precious stones were investigated.
