Abstract (EN)

In our study, it is aimed to determine the 6-week training load profiles of badminton athletes by objective and subjective methods. 7 male athletes from Eskişehir Youth Sports Club were included in the study (age: 14.5±1.27). Athletes were included in the training for 6 weeks, 5 days a week (30 sessions). In our study, the relationship between acute chronic workload, vitality status, neuromuscular fatigue and heart rate variables was investigated. As data collection tools, height measurement, body weight measurement, heart rate measurement, vertical jump measurement, vitality questionnaire, perceived difficulty level measurements were made. For statistical analysis of the data, SPSS 23 (IBM SPSS Statistics 21, IBM Corp., USA) program was used. The mean and standard deviations of all data of badminton players were calculated. The significance level of the test results was accepted as p≤0.05 and the level of high significance was accepted as p≤0.01. The relationship between the tests was determined using the Spearman Correlation Test. In the measurements made during the 6-week period, it was seen that the training load increased by 13.48% in the 3rd week compared to the previous week. In the 4th and 5th weeks, a 10.87% decrease was observed in the training load. In the 4th week, the fitness (10.54%) and vertical jump (3.79%) data of the athletes decreased compared to the previous week. There was an increase in the fitness (5.7%) data of the athletes in the 4th and 5th weeks. In the 6-week HR measurements, the overall team mean HRaverage was 137 hr/min (±3.71), and the overall mean HRmax was 189 hr/min (±2.21). In the analysis of the data, there are statistically positive correlations between the vertical jump and the perceived difficulty of the training (r=0.841*, p=0.036), between the vertical jump and the HRaverage values (r=0.829*, p=0.042), and between the vertical jump and the HRmax values (r=0.943**, p=0.005). As a result, it is important to follow the training load in badminton in terms of determining the fitness and fatigue status of the athletes, creating an optimum performance situation and preventing injuries.
