Abstract (EN)

This study was carried out in order to determine the level of relations between the forestry organization (Bartın Forestry Enterprise Directorate (BFED), Ulus Forestry Enterprise Directorate (UFED), and Bartın Nature Conservation and National Parks (BNCNP) Branch Directorate) and industries in the Bartın province, the corporate reputation of the forestry organization in terms of external stakeholders and to contribute to increasing them for meeting the needs of today and future generations for forest products in accordance with the principle of sustainable forestry. For this purpose, a questionnaire consisting of three parts (1.General Information Section including 6 questions, 2.Institutional Reputation of the Forestry Organization including 55 questions, 3.Suggestions Section) was prepared. Questionnaires, the majority of which consisted of 5-point Likert scale questions, were applied to 308 people from the external stakeholders of the forestry organization (representatives of industries/sectors, auction customer representatives, NGO representatives, public institution managers, village people, city people) by face-to-face interviews with 86% (266 people) and by e-mail method with 14% (42 people). Descriptive statistics, Cronbach Alpha test, correlation analysis, factor analysis and Kruskal-Wallis H test were used to evaluate the data obtained. According to the analysis of the answers given to 55 5-point Likert scale questions in the second part of the questionnaire and the evaluations, the level of corporate reputation of the forestry organization of the province of Bartın in the eyes of external stakeholders was classified as low (55-127 points), medium (128-201 points) and high (202-275 points), and the general average (181.07) was found to be at "medium-high" level. In the study, a seventh dimension (institutional relations) developed in addition to six dimensions (emotional attraction, products and services, financial performance, vision and leadership, working environment, social responsibility) developed by Fombrun (1996) was used to measure the corporate reputation and inter-industry relations of the forestry organization. It was understood that seven common factors (dimensions) obtained as a result of the 55-variable Factor analysis were suitable for the purpose of the study and the grouping design of the propositions in the questionnaire. It was determined that 68.92% of the corporate reputation of the forestry organization of the Bartın province was explained by these factors (dimensions). It was determined that while the total corporate reputation differs significantly at the level of 99% according to the stakeholder group, the field of activity, relationship with the forestry organization, the number of employees, the duty, and gender of the participant, it does not differ according to the age and education level of the participants. Based on the findings, some suggestions were developed to increase the relations between the forestry organization in the Bartın province and the industries and its corporate reputation.
