Abstract (EN)

Since human beings exist on earth, people have used nearby forests irregularly and unplanned to remain in existence. In time, People's housing, nutrition, and heating benefits have increasingly been continued and have become a threat. To protect forests from all these threats, to maintain their sustainability and productivity for posterity, forestry activities were planned and become a regular structure. All technical, economical, social and ecological studies like protection and development of forests, development of villagers live in and near forests, producing goods and services for community are made by Forestry General Directorate. In Turkey, thousands of villages in the forest and adjacent forest are exist and there are millions of people living in these villages. Usually forest villagers live at high mountain zone and they are poorest people of Turkey because of inadequacy of agricultural land, primitivity of livestock, scarcity of family living, deficiency in infrastructure, defectiveness of social relief. Resource shortage and social and economical deficiencies force rural people for illegal uses. This case is the main reason of conflicts between villagers and forest services. This study has been done at forest villages in Amasra forestry unit to investigate relationships between forest villagers and forests and forest service personel, to realize their opinions on forestry studies and to get ideas on different topics. As a result, the data obtained were analyzed statistically with appropriate tests. As results of tests it is determined that all of the social and economical factors like population, education level, socio-economic structure, preferred tree species as fire wood, importance of forests for villagers, migration and immigration reasons, relations with the forest service, are important on crimes and crime awarenesses.
