Distribution and damage of Corythucha ciliata (Heteroptera, Tingidae) in Bartın region

Sycamore lace bug Corythucha ciliata (Say, 1832) is an invasive and very damaging sycamore tree species. It is known that it was first seen in Bolu in 2007 in our country. Sycamore lace beetle sucks the leaf sap of sycamore trees, causing sycamore leaves to appear colorless and pale, and then premature leaf shedding of sycamore tree leaves. The aim of this study is to determine the sycamore trees infested by the plane lace bug in the district center of Ulus district of Bartın province, and to indicate the damage inflicted in the region and the methods of combating this damage based on the literature study.
