In this study, starting from Sason district of Batman and extending to Hasankeyf, Batman stream and then the Tigris River, including the Batman strem contaminated with waste water from the ten different locations of heavy metals that make toxic effects (As, Cu, Zn, Cd, Co, Cr, Pb, Mn, Ni, Se) concentrations (µg / L) were preconcentrated using the enrichment method of activated carbon. The obtained samples were dissolved and their concentrations were determined by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS). The measured values were evaluated according to the seasons and the characteristics of the points where the samples were taken and whether they were toxic enough or carrying heavy metal pollution were investigated.
