Morphological and anatomical studies of species of Alchemilla (Rosaceae) in Trabzon and Artvin

Abstract (EN)

In this study, 5 Alchemilla species which are collected in Trabzon and Artvin in 1996 were examined inpoint o morphological and anatomic features. Morphological studies were carried out from herbarium specimens and anatomic features were determined from stock materials. The figures of some important charachters roled on the identification of PJchemilla species were drawn. During anatomical examinations, cross section were taken from the stem and leaves and the permanent slides were prepared. Anatomical features of each species were determined from these permanent slides and compared with each other. Finally, leaf and stem anatomy of each examined species didn't show any major differences among species. However, some differences such as, in the thickness of scleren chyma ring, the wiclenes of vascular bundles and bundle sheet cells were clearly observed. Key Words: Alchemilla, Systematic, Anatomy
