Cytogenetic analysis on some species of Cerambycidae (Coleoptera)

In this study cytogenetic and taxonomic analysis were carried out on 12 species in Cerambycidae (Coleoptera) family collected from Sivas, Sakarya, Ankara, Kırşehir and Hatay. The preparations were obtained from male individual testicular tissues of the species and intestinal tissues of male and female individuals. Cytogenetic data was detected in six species: Chlorophorus varius (Müller, 1766) (2n=20); Dorcadion anatolicum (Pic, 1900) (2n=24); Dorcadion scabricolle (Dalman, 1817) (2n=20); Oxylia argentata (Ménétriés, 1832) (2n=20); Cortodera flavimana (Waltl, 1838)(2n=20); Stenopterus rufus (Linnaeus, 1767) (2n=12). As a result, chromosome numbers of Chlorophorus varius (Müller, 1766); Cortodera flavimana (Waltl, 1838) and Stenopterus rufus (Linnaeus, 1767) were determined for the first time by this study. The records of the distribution of Phymatodes testaceus (Linnaeus, 1758) for Sivas province and the distribution of Chlorophorus varius (Müller, 1766) for Sakarya province were given for the first time by this study. The results were compared with literature's and were evaluated.
