Abstract (EN)

In this work, [Zn(Pht)(Bim)2]n (1), [Zn(Pht)(2-IPim)]n (2), [Zn(Pht)(1,2-diMeim)2]2.6H2O (3) complexes were synthesized by using phthalate, benzimidazole (Bim), 2-isopropylimidazole (2-IPim) and 1,2-dimethylimidazole (1,2-diMeim). Composition of complexes were determined by elemental analysis. spectroscopic (IR) and thermal properties of complexes were investigated. 1, 2 and 3 complexes were characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction method. Thermal decomposition behaviour of complexes were investigated by TG, DTG and DTA techniques. Thermal analysis datas show that complexes lose imidazole ligands in the first stage of decomposition and in the following stages Pht ligands decompose to metaloxides. In the complexes, phthalate acted as dianionic bidentate and tridentade ligand bonded to the metals. Coordination geometry of central atoms in the [Zn(Pht)(Bim)2]n, [Zn(Pht)(2-IPim)]n and [Zn(Pht)(1,2-diMeim)2]2.6H2O complexes were distorted tetrahedral.
