21ST century of physical education teacher candidatesinvestigation of learning and teaching skills

The aim of this study is to compare the hypothesis of teachers teach in parallel with their own learning between some people who are physical education teacher candidates in the 21st century learning and teaching skills, in terms of some demographic variables. The sample of this study consisted of 221 teacher candidates, 106 girls and 115 boys, studying at the Faculty of Sport Sciences of different universities. In the study, a personal information form was used to determine demographic variables.The 21st century learner skills scale developed by Orhon D (2016) was used for cognitive, autonomous, cooperation and flexibility, and innovation skills.The 21st century teacher skills scale developed by Orhon D (2016) was used for managerial, techno pedagogical, affirmative, flexible teaching, and productive skills. In this paper, information was given about the 21st century learner and teacher skills of physical education and sports teacher candidates, and the relationships between them, as well as the relevant researches including the subject headings. According to the result, all sub-dimensions of use of 21st century learner skills predicted the use of 21st century teacher skills. In other words, by using cognitive, autonomous, cooperation and flexibility, and innovation skills, meaningful ways can be identified to use 21st century teacher skills. In addition to this, results shows that using the autonomous, cooperation and flexibility skills which are sub-dimensions of using 21st century learner skills, predicted the use of cognitive skills for candidate teachers.
