Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to determine the job satisfaction and life satisfaction levels of physical education teachers. In the study, job satisfaction and life satisfaction levels of physical education teachers were examined in relation to variables such as age, gender, marital status, professional seniority, type of school, and participation in sports. The research was conducted with 215 physical education teachers. The research employed quantitative methods, specifically correlational survey models. The study utilized the Personal Information Form, the Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire, and the Satisfaction with Life Scale as data collection tools. Descriptive statistics (arithmetic mean and standard deviation), independent samples t-test, and one-way ANOVA were used to analyze the data. Pearson correlation was employed to assess relationships between variables, and multiple linear regression was applied to examine their predictive power. It was observed that physical education teachers' job satisfaction and life satisfaction levels were low. The job satisfaction and life satisfaction levels of female physical education teachers were found to be statistically significantly higher than those of male teachers. No significant differences were observed in relation to age, marital status, or professional experience. While school type did not significantly affect job satisfaction, life satisfaction was higher among those working in secondary schools. Moreover, teachers who did not regularly engage in sports reported higher levels of both job and life satisfaction than those who did. However, a positive and significant relationship was found between job satisfaction and life satisfaction; it was determined that job satisfaction was an important predictor of life satisfaction.
