An investigation of physical education and sports teachers' susceptibility to ethical values ​​and personal values ​​in terms of some appearances

With this study, it was aimed to determine the predisposition levels of physical education teachers to ethical values. In addition, similar or different results were evaluated by evaluating the personal values questions asked to the teachers and some demographic questions. This study was conducted based on the relational screening model, one of the quantitative research methods. 706 physical education teachers working under the Ministry of National Education participated in the study. They filled and recorded the questionnaire consisting of 67 questions online and via telephone interviews. The results were evaluated with the SPSS program. The analysis of the quantitative data obtained at the end of the data collection process was carried out using descriptive and relational data analysis techniques. Frequency (f), percentage (%), mean (x̅) and standard deviation (SD) values were used to determine physical education teachers' tendency to ethical values and personal values. Before applying the relational data analysis, the homogeneity of the obtained data set was checked. In addition, it was decided whether the data showed a normal distribution or not by looking at the mean, mode, median, skewness, kurtosis and Kolmogorov-Smirnov values, and in this context, the data analysis process was shaped. As a result of the study, while a significant difference was found in different sub-dimensions, it was also determined that there was no significant difference. For example, it was observed that female physical education and sports teachers' predisposition to ethical values was higher in general and sub-dimensions of the scale. Likewise, when the professional ethics perceptions of the participants according to the age variable are examined, it is seen that the physical education and sports teachers who work at a younger age are more inclined to ethical values. Looking at the variables of seniority and status, no findings that would make a significant difference between the participants were found. In conclusion; it was determined that the mean, median and mode values of the ethical values and personal values inventory were not close to each other. In addition, the skewness and kurtosis values of the obtained data vary between -1,746 and ,145. When the Kolmogorov-Smirnov results are examined, it is seen that the "p" values of the ethical values and personal values inventory are significant (p<.05).
