Education of values in behiç ak's childrens books and the contribution of these books to Turkish teaching

Value Education in Behiç Ak's Juvenile Books and Contributions of These Works to Turkish Education In this study, Behiç Ak's Works have been examined in terms of values education and contribution to Turkish teaching. The novels named Eve Giden Küçük Tren, Postayla Gelen Deniz Kabuğu, Yaşasın Ç Harfi Kardeşliği were taken as an example in the light of expert view. The examples were analyzed in terms of including the volve of justice, friendship, honesty, self control, patience, love, responsibility, patriotism, helpfullnes wich are included in 2018 Turkish Teaching Program. It has been found that the author used 142 values directly or indirectly in his chosen works. Based on the obtained data;it has been seen that Behiç AK's Works have enough content in the point of dealing with appropriate valoes for selected topics. Beside, the contribution to Turkish teaching Behiç Ak's Works were also analyzed in terms of including proverb, idiom, reduplication,routines and echoic words.In this study,when scanned all of his books,it has been identified that;he used 647 idioms 486 of which are different from each other, 332 reduplications 183 of which are different from each other,152 echoic words 38 of which are different from each other, 63 routines 37 of which are diffrent from each other and 6 proverbs different from each other. In these Works it has seen that; he used idioms,reduplications,routines and echoic words intensely except proverb. With all of these datas it has been concluded that the Works of Behiç AK are among the sources that is suitable for providing benefit to value education and the Turkish teaching process.
