Social policies implemented to children in municipalities: The case of İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality

The aim of this study is to examine the social policies implemented to children in municipalities in Turkey in the case of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality between the years 2010-2016. This study is important to give an idea of how a metropolitan municipality implements the social policies implemented to children in municipalities in Turkey. This study covers the examination of social policies implemented to children in municipalities in Turkey in the case of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. During the research process, the annual reports of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality between 2010-2016 were examined. As a result of the study, it is seen that the social policies implemented to children by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in the field of social work are not sufficient and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality does not provide enough services to children with the existing social work implementations.
