In this study, in which the life, art, works, language and style of Berat Alanyalı, one of today's short story writers, are researched, his contributions to Turkish literary life have been evaluated. Berat Alanyalı's stories were used as the main sources in this study. Information about the life of the author has been revealed by the methods of work and document analysis. More than sixty published stories of the author were examined in terms of structure, theme and expression. By examining the stories of the author, the unique aspects of his storytelling, language and style are pointed out. Berat Alanyalı, one of the admired names of Turkish story telling with his unique style and original narration, is a writer who expresses individual and social problems with an artistic sensitivity. Berat Alanyalı, who has three printed story boks excluding children's books; She produced Works rich in themes such as family, love, death, friendship, separation, natüre and childhood. When we look at his stories in terms of fiction, he created fiction through a situation, place or letter, as well as stories with one or more people in the center. The writer, who takes care to use a plain language, is successful in making the characters talk. The images used by the author, who do not lack elements such as idioms, proverbs, and appropriate slang in his stories, are lively, powerful and impressive. There is also a humorous and metaphorical voice in his works. In this thesis, Berat Alanyalı's life, art and Works are discussed and his place in the history of literature is clarified by examining his stories in detail.
