Abstract (EN)

Within the scope of this study, plant collection studies were carried out during the vegetation periods from March 2018 to the end of June 2022 in order to determine the flora of Besni (Adıyaman) district. 2663 plant samples were collected from the research area. As a result of the systematic evaluation of the plant samples collected from the research area, 373 genera belonging to 89 families from Besni district and 798 taxa at the total species, subspecies and variety level belonging to these genera were determined. 4 of these taxa belong to Pteridophyta and 794 of them belong to Spermatophyta. 6 of 794 taxa belonging to Spermatophyta division belong to Gymnospermae (Coniferophyta) and 788 of them belong to Angiospermae (Magnoliophyta) subdivisions. 654 taxa belonging to Angiospermae subdivision are in Dicotyledoneae (Magnoliopsida) and 134 taxa are in Monocotyledoneae (Liliopsida). It was determined that 85 taxa from the study area were endemic and the endemism rate was 10.65%. The distribution of taxa according to phytogeographic regions is as follows: Iran-Turan 265 (33.2%), Mediterranean 141 (17.79%) and Euro-Siberian 26 (3.25%). The distribution of taxa according to the quadrature system is as follows: 631 taxa (79%) are in C6 square, 55 taxa (7%) are in C7 square, and 112 taxa (14%) are in both C6 and C7 squares. The first 3 families in terms of the number of taxa they contain are as follows: Asteraceae (88), Fabaceae (79) and Lamiaceae (60). In terms of the number of taxa they contain, the first 3 genera are as follows: Centaurea (18), Ranunculus (15) and Salvia (15). Campanula adiyamanensis was introduced to the scientific world as a new species within the scope of the research.
