Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted between 2017-2020 in the villages of Seyitler, Vezirköy, Ahlat, Varlık and Salkimli known as Beşpare Köy in the central district of Artvin and the local names, preparation, determination of the uses and fruit of the plant species used by the local people living in these villages for medicinal and aromatic purposes. It was carried out in order to determine their potential. The study area is between 300-3000 m elevations and has a surface area of 7 million m² and is located in the A8 square according to Davis' grid system, it is located in the Colchic sub-section of the Öksin province of the Holarctic region, the European-Siberian flora area. Face-to-face interviews were held with 120 people to determine the uses of medicinal and aromatic plants and their preparation stages. The data were analyzed by informative consensus (FIC), fidelity level (FL) and use value (UV). As a result of the survey; It has been determined that 75 plant species belonging to 39 families are used by the local people for medicinal and aromatic purposes. The families with the most taxa in our research area are, Rosaceae (8 taxa), Asterecaeae (5 taxa), Lamiaceae (4 taxa), Apiaceae (4 taxa). The danger status of 75 rare and endemic and non-endemic taxa was evaluated according to IUCN hazard categories.
