Abstract (EN)

Although Turkey and many countries have proposed some empirical formulae about fundamental ambient vibration period of buildings, the approximate values of these periods are not suitable for safety. In order to obtain period values which are nearly same the exact values, totally 264 reinforced concrete buildings with 32 different plan areas are anlyzed using Modal Anlysis Method by SAP2000v20 programme and found the vibration periods. After that, the ambient periods of mentioned buildings are calculated analytically using empirical formulaes in TBDY 2018 sesimic code and proposed some empirical equations in this work. Obtained period datas from these formulaes and equations analyzed through regression and coleration anlysises by Microsoft Excel program. As a results, the reinforced concrete frame and combined with shear wall buildings have 97% coleration coifficient and only reinforced shear wall buildings have 99% coleration coifficient. Also these systems have 17% and 14% mean errors simultaniously. In conclusions, according to empirical formulaes in the existing seisimic code TBDY 2018, the equations proposed in this thesis which have higher coleration coifficients and lower main deviations can be used for estimating fundamental ambient vibration periods of reinforced buildings.
