Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of this study is to perform cost optimization of rectangular reinforced concrete continuous beams using Artificial Bee Colony (ABC), Teaching Learning Based Optimization (TLBO) and Teaching-Learning Based Artificial Bee Colony Algorithms (TLABC) consists of. In the first chapter, information about ABC, TLBO and TLBC algorithms and previous studies are given. In the second part, the objective function, shear modulus, placement of top and bottom reinforcement, body reinforcement and constraints are expressed. An optimization study has been made for reinforced concrete beams with one, two and three spans, the performances of the algorithms have been compared, and the beam detail for the optimum design has been given. Then, two separate parametric studies were carried out for three-span beam optimization. In the last section, references are given and the author's biography. Examination of the obtained findings shows that optimum designs of reinforced concrete continuous beams with minimum cost can be realized with ABC, TLBO and TLABC algorithms, and overall, the performance of TLABC algorithm is better than the other two algorithms among these three algorithms for this problem.
