The effect of information technologies use on supply chain agility: Malatya province Organized Industrial Zone example

In the process of first ages from the present day, people have made information the subject of different inventions, examinations, and research as the results of the situations that they have observed and experienced or with conclusion of events they have encountered by chance. It is seen that computers, which are one of the leading technological devices that is used in today, have evolved continuously with information technologies since the first day of their production. So as to be fast in communication, businesses share information about their products with their suppliers through technologies that they use. While using the information technologies, businesses share every information with relevant department and their suppliers. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of businesses" Use of İnformation Technologies to Supply Chain Agility. The universe of the research is constituted by the total 369 businesses that operating in Malatya 1st and 2nd Organized Industrial Zone. A survey form was applied as a data collection tool in the research. Information Technologies Use scale consisting of 41 specifications, Technologic scale consisting of 6 specifications and Supply Chain Agility scale consisting of 7 specifications were used in survey form. Reliability, Accuracy Factor, Frequencies, Normality, One Way ANOVA, Pearson Correlation and Structural Equation Modeling Analysis tests were used in the analysis of the data in the research, and the upper limit of error margin was accepted as 0.05. As a result of the analysis of the data obtained in the study, it was seen that Supply Chain Agility was affected in a positive and significant way, and at a medium level. Similarly, it is seen that there is a sufficient level of compatibility with the Structural Equation Model established to determine whether the dimensions of Information Technology Use show a significant difference on Supply Chain Agility, and that the dimensions of "Communication Information Systems" and "Corporate Information Systems" have a significant difference on "Supply Chain Agility".
