Determining web 2.0 tools awareness levels of children in science and art centers

In this research it is aimed to evaluate the levels of Web 2.0 tools awarness of the gifted students who have been educated at science and art center. The levels of awarness have been examined according to the varieties like gender ,the level of education and the quality of education. The research done by using the mixed research method has been done with 302 primary and secondary school students who continue studying at science and art center in the towns of Edremit and Burhaniye which are in Balıkesir. The web 2.0 tools awareness scale developed by Arslan and Görgülü Arı (2021) is used as a data collection tool.. The Independent Groups t-Test, One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) have been used to analyze quantitive data. The quantitive data analysis has been carried out using SPSS 22 statistical software. The interview form developed by the researcher in order to collect the qualitative data has been used. Content analysis was used to analyze the qualitative data. When the results obtained by the research were analyzed, it was seen that the gifted students focused on the "Undecided" option at Web 2.0 tools awareness levels. The significant difference in terms of gender has not been seen in the levels of Web 2.0 tools of gifted students The significant difference has been seen in the varieties of education level and quality. According to the results obtained by the research at the qualitative dimension. It is found that the use of web 2.0 tools in the lesson is useful and entertaining and it is defined that it contributes productivity of the subjects. Additionally, it is stated that it positively affects the lesson motivation of the students and the academic success. The lessons prepared by web 2.0 tools enable application ,functionality and affordability.
