Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study; cognitive development training in children visual perception on effect. In this study, experimental research model pretest-posttest with control group pattern used. This work easy sampling method whit determined Corum province Fatih Sultan Mehmet primary school student in 2nd grade (8 years old) continuing education 29 of them girls, 35 of them are male including total in 64 students carried out. Working group; research group (n=32) and control group (n=32) determined as. Cognitive development training to visual perception effect to determine for Frostig developed by Frostig Visual Perception Test (FGAT) pretest posttest aspect research and control applied to groups. Research group 8 weeks throughout and per weeks 2 day 45 minute cognitive development training done. FGAT datas SPSS 22.0 with the program analyzed, significance level p<0,05 as determined. The data obtained normality Shapiro-wilk test looked with p<0,05 due to the data are not normally distributed concluded. Because of that non-parametric test in-group assessment Wilcoxon signed rank test protocols, between-group assessment Mann Withney-U test done. In gender comparison İndependent-Samples T Test used. Looking at statistical analyzes research group pretest-posttest total score averages compared and significant difference was detected (p<0,05). Research group pretest posttest total mean score between genders were compared and significant difference was detected (p<0,05). Control group pretest-posttest total score averages compared and significant difference was detected (p<0,05). Research group pretest-posttest total mean score between genders were compared and no significant difference was detected (p>0,05). Research and control group pretest total score averages compared and no significant difference was detected (p>0,05). Research and control group posttest total score averages compared and significant difference was detected (p<0,05). According to study 8 weeks throughout and per weeks 2 day 45 minute it has been observed that cognitive development exercises have a positive effect on the visual perception levels of primary school second grade students.
