Abstract (EN)

The most significant factors in the formation of the urban open space are building and architectural heaps, which are border elements, and shape that outer space. For this reason, landscape architecture, which is the subject material or outer space, and building, which is the material of architectural elements in the building directly effect the outer space design. The aim of the thesis is to study the differences in the architecture according to estimated time. The start points of thesis are; the roles of building functions in heaps under the effects of open spaces and how the dimensional increases take place. For this reason in the first part of the thesis generally space description take place. In the following parts the typologies which show continuity on the east/west differences, an examination by bringing a rare distinction and using morphologic tape technique. Furthermore the similarities and contrast and contrast in east/west landscape architecture principles put forward, and critics on them were made. Finally, a result was made by discussing the actuality of principles. Key Words : Urban Open Space, Outer Space, History, Place. VII
