Özet (EN)

Rockfall is the phenomenon of stones or rock blocks broken off from a rocky slope or loose material falling, rolling, or hitting the ground and bouncing. In Bingöl province, where rock falls are frequently seen, it causes loss of life and property and damages settlements and dwellings. The aim of this study is to examine the rockfall risk in Güngörsün village of Adaklı district of Bingöl province and to determine precautions and suggestions for its improvement and to reduce and eliminate the rockfall risk. For this purpose, Güngörsün, one of the locations reflecting the regional problem, was chosen as the study area. Throughout the study, intensive field and laboratory studies (distance, speed, jump height, field tests, determination of total kinetic energy values and other mapping studies) were carried out to determine the geomechanical properties of existing geological units. According to the RAMMS:ROCKFALL rockfall program analysis results, the points of the study area were determined. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent the negative effects of possible rock falls on the residential area.
