Abstract (EN)

In this study, a method for the selective recovery of copper (Cu2+) ion in water samples was developed using 4-Methyl-n-tetradecylpyridinium bromide salt, an ionic liquid. Flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) was used for Cu2+ determination. Optimum conditions were determined by analysing the parameters such as elution type and concentration, pH, ionic solid amount, ligand amount, surfactant amount which are important parameters in recovery. Optimum conditions: pH 6.5; elution type and concentration 1 M HCl; ionic liquid amount 75 mg; morin ligand amount 1.25 mmolar; surfactant amount 0.05 mL Triton X-100; time 0.5 min; initial solution volume 20 mL. Cu2+ recovery with ionic liquid was determined to be in the range of 97-100% while determining the optimisation conditions. LOD and LOQ values for Cu2+ were found in the range of 2.3 µg/L and 7.7 µg/L, respectively.
