Abstract (EN)

In this study titled "The Effect of Flake Mass in Unit Volume on Particle Board Quality", the effect of the chip densities used on the surface layer and middle layer affecting the particle board density and particle board density on the mechanical and physical properties of the test particle board. In the particle board production, 22% coniferous wood, 78% leafy wood (18% poplar, 36% beech, 14% poplar cover) flakes were used. Three-layer particle boards were produced using an average of 13% urea formaldehyde (UF) glue on the surface layer flake of the produced particle boards and an average of 7.5% on the middle layer flake. Density grouping of test plates produced in thicknesses of 16, 17 and 18 mm; the results were evaluated by making between 575-617 kg / m³. The density grouping of the surface layer chip is between 155-170 kg / m³, and the density grouping of the middle layer chip is between 125-139 kg / m³. Kastamonu Entegre A.Ş. the folded press of Samsun Particle Board Factory was utilized and the physical and mechanical properties of the particle board were determined. The results obtained were interpreted using statistical analysis methods. According to these results, it has been determined that the density in the test particle boards is a factor that significantly affects the particle board quality in terms of physical and mechanical properties. It is understood that thickness is not an effective factor alone. As the density of the surface layer flake increased, some surface properties improved, while some negatively affected. The increase in the density of the middle layer flake generally caused an increase in particle board strength.
