Özet (EN)
This study aimed to examine the common functional somatic pain symptoms and depressive symptoms at primary care settings. 40 individuals participated to the study and there was no gender preference still all the participants were female. In this study, participants' demographic informations, their somatic complaints and severity o their depressive symptoms were investigated in relation to each other. Participants' somatic complaints detected by doctors and then they are asked to fill a sociodemographic infformation form and Depressive Symptom Inventory (DSI). According to the results that are obtained from analysis of participants' data, we did not catch any statistically meaningful and significant differences. It is thought that, this results may be caused by the unsatisfying number of participants. On the other hand, the expectancy that participants who visit doctor withh somatic complaints would have medium or higher level depressive symptoms is numerically confirmed. 82,5% of participants get medium or higher level depressive sypmtom scores. The results which obtained by the study has been discussed in the light of previous literature. Key Words: depression, somatic symptoms, pain, primary care
