Abstract (EN)
During the World War I and afterwards, a lot of army officers and soldiers had been taken prisoner. Many encampments had been constructed by Ottoman Empire for the prisoners. These encampments called as Samatya, Bursa, İzmir, Eskişehir, Ankara. A part of prisoners have been restored to liberty to their hometowns after the first aid at the theater of war. Other parts of prisoners have been dispatched through the inner parts of Anatolia. The prisoners who had dispatched were mostly British, French, Russian and Armenian army officers and soldiers. One of the encampment was built in Bursa, where was a capital city of Ottoman Empires once upon a time. Prisoners of war, who General Towshend's side at was, British and French officers and British soldiers origin from India and Russian soldiers were taken prisoner during Kut'ül Amare at Bursa Prisoner of War Camp. Daily life of prisoners, their feding and wages how to captured as a prisoner and the prisoners who escaped from the camp is attract attention ar Bursa Prisoner of War Camp. The gavernment of Ottoman tried to act their best through the prisoners as for as possible furthermore there are some prisoners at camp who have beter canditions than Ottoman saldiers who fight at military Frent. The report prepared by Salib-i Ahmer Committe in 1916 pointed out that the officers pleased to be in their places at Bursa Prisoners of War Camp. Bern Solemn Agreement signed on 28 December 1917 and Brest-Litovsk Solemn Agreement signed on 3 March 1918. The prisoners of war were exchanged depends on reciprocity. Salib-i Ahmer and Hilal-i Ahmer Committees supported on this issue.
