The use of basic education right in combined classrooms

The main purpose of this study is to examine the combined classroom teachers' opinions about the usage of basic education rights in combined classrooms. In order to determine teachers' opinions about the usage of basic education rights, defining the dimensions of the problem and solving them, this study is also aimed to give advices which are based on scientific data to authority and researchers. The universe of the study is combined classroom teachers who worked in 19 main districts of Antalya and their closer villages in 2013-2014 Academic Year. It is tried to reach all the universe in this study. Because of the limited number of combined classroom schools, instead of sampling from some of them, it has been tried to be reached to all universe in this study. Totally; 300 combined classroom teachers contributed to this study. The scale "Usage of the basic education rights in combined classrooms" has been established in 63 item in accordance with a Likert-Type scale, mainly formed in 3 parts; "The right of access to education", " the right of good quality education "and "the right to being respected in learning environment". In this study, standard deviation, mean, variance analysis were used for examining the results, "t" test and Scheffe test were used for data collection. The result of the analysis indicated that, teachers found out the efficiency level of the usage of basic education rights in combined classrooms "little" and they thought the schools with combined classrooms mustn't proceed any longer. If we consider the dimensions, "the dimension of access to education" is the least sufficient and "the dimension of the right to being respected in learning environment" is the most sufficient dimension. However, the dimension of basic education rights is not at "the average rate". It can be said that the basic education rights in combined classrooms are not at the sufficient level.
