A research on bitcoin use behavior

In recent years, due to technological advances and the weakening of trust in the financial system, people have needed a high security, decentralized, anonymous currency, and as a result Bitcoin, the first Crypto currency in the known sense, has emerged. There are many academic studies in order to understand the effects of this currency on the known financial system and the degree to which people accept this money, and the literature is rapidly expanding. While the importance of Bitcoin usage and the point of view is indisputable in the world, it is also important to understand the potential risks and benefits of this new hybrid money, and to make comments accordingly. Accordingly, 467 Bitcoin users have been reached via social media and a questionnaire has been applied to these users. The questionnaire was developed by Abramova and Böhme (2016) and translated into Turkish. According to the results, it was seen that the perceived benefits of Bitcoin use had a positive and beneficial effect on the acceptance of usage and the reputation risk had a decreasing effect on the use of Bitcoin.
