Abstract (EN)

Plants are inherently affected by many environmental components such as moisture, temperature, contact, light, gravity, soil quality and minerals, harmful fungal invasion, herbivores and insect attacks, to different extents depending on their species, size and leaf arrangement. These environmental stimuli are perceived by the plant and a response is produced. These reactions can be chemical, electrical and electromechanical. In this thesis study, the electropotential signals and electromechanical behaviors produced by plants were examined with simulations and experiments using a piezoelectric-based approach. This study, in which the piezoelectric behavior of plants is investigated, also includes the experimental reality that plants use their interactive piezoelectric behavior for communication. Although it has not yet been explained that plants make these communications consciously, this interaction of plants has been demonstrated. This phenomenon is expressed comparatively in this thesis study with both simulation and experimental results.
