Özet (EN)

Urbanization, increasing population and industrial activities are decreasing the quality of the air today. The air pollution causing gases, particulate matter and interaction with various reactions, air quality and the quality of the environment are influencing to reduce our standard of living. Due to its geographical location, Bitlis province has a large part of the year under heavy winter conditions. For this reason, it needs intensive use of fossil fuels. It is also at an international crossroads in terms of transportation. Vehicle traffic is an effective means of increasing air pollution. The gas and particulate emissions that make up air pollution fall to earth, soil or vegetation at a distance from the source. Thus, environment, human and living health are affected both directly and by means. In this study, the contamination effect of air pollution on soil pollution was investigated from soil samples taken from 19 different points determined by Bitlis city center with the help of GPS (Global Position System) device. The soil samples were taken in laboratory and compared with the values of heavy metals (Ni, Zn, Pb, Cu, Fe, Mn, Cd) in the regulation of Soil Pollution Control in Turkey. The results are compared with the emission inventory of the coal used, which is discharged to the atmosphere, using multiple linear regression method. In addition, the effects on soil pollution have been examined.
