The dialect of Bitlis centre (Introduction– research – text – lexicon)

Understanding the functioning and paticulars of the Turkish Language is not possible only by examining the official language which has the characteristic of written language.Thus,we need to research dialects.The study of dialects is a direct source for Turkish Language.Nevertheless,they help etimology,sociology,etnology,folklore and history.Thus,The Turkey Turkish dialects studies increase in recent years but we don't have any studies about Bitlis province. Bitlis has hosted most of civilazation because of its strategic location. Bitlis, Which has been a Turkish homeland since 1971,has ruled various Turkish states.In addition to this,there has occured a rich language and cultural stratifying because of showing switch feature.Considering all these features, the region is important for dialect studies.This study showed us that more studies should be done on the dialect of the Bitlis province which is disappearing. The aim of study is to help to dialect studies and increase the number of studies on the dialect of the Bitlis province.In this study,from the review of the center and 6 villages connected to the center 23 which is written with text transcription alphabet.These texts,which has phonetic and morphological structure,are examined.The important features on the dialect of the Bitlis province are mentioned.
