Abstract (EN)

Blockchain technology in its most general form; it is defined as the distribution of central trust on the internet by enabling the removal of a central server or a reliable authority. Blockchain technology is used in a wide range from insurance activities to social policies, from identifying identities to commercial activities. The best known of blockchain technologies are crypto currencies that are known as bitcoin. These technologies affect employment in financial markets as in all areas. In fact, current research aims to determine the possible effects of blockchain technology on finance sector employment in Turkey. In this context, in-depth interviews were made with 10 finance sector employees within the scope of the research. The interviews show, participants have a high-interest level of knowledge with blockchain technology, legal regulations in Turkey is still not allowed to carry out banking transactions with blockchain, it has finally reached that it is hard to consensus possible effects of blockchain technology on finance sector employment in Turkey.
